“Many people do not realize how widespread fear, pity, hate, and revulsion of disabled people are in the world, with ableism everywhere in society, including in mission, ministry, and social justice movements. In this training, we will learn about institutional, societal, and everyday ableism, along with strategies for recognizing and responding to it as we labor for disability justice as part of our freedom work.”

LYDIA X. Z. BROWN, ESQ.

This on-demand training was created from recordings of a live training at Ministry Days 2019. The recordings have been lightly edited, but some of the idiosyncrasies of a live workshop remain.
