Welcome to Facilitator Training for Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education for Grades 7-9 and 10-12. (November 2025 East Coast Session)

Let’s Get Started!
Please proceed to Module 1: Introduction, where you’ll find assignments and the zoom link for all sessions.
This course is presented in the form of Modules, or subject areas. Each Module is comprised of Topics that will facilitate your exploration and learning in the form of videos, readings, online discussions, assignments, and synchronous sessions.
Your trainers will be available by email throughout the course to offer assistance and to answer questions; in addition, they will lead the synchronous sessions.
This course must be completed within one month from the start date, including all asynchronous and synchronous elements.
This training is evaluative, meaning that completion of all elements doesn’t guarantee approval to facilitate. The trainers will communicate with you privately if they have concerns because their goal is to help you become an Our Whole Lives facilitator.
All Mondays and Thursdays are 6-8:30 pm ET. For people in a training outside their time zone, the synchronous meeting time will vary. Please carefully note your meeting times in your calendar. Do note that attendance is mandatory for every synchronous session; they are not recorded, and make-up sessions are not available.

Your trainers for this course are Liz Roper and Rev. Naomi Washington.
We’ll formally introduce ourselves during our first synchronous meeting.
Throughout the course on video, you’ll also meet Melanie Davis, PhD, the OWL Program Manager for the Unitarian Universalist Association, and Amy Johnson, the Minister for Sexuality Education and Justice for the United Church of Christ.
